Uprooted 3-Day Teachers Workshop in NYC
After a massively successful London Jazz Dance Intensive last week, we are now gearing up for our TEACHERS workshop in New York. The 3-day workshop runs from August 16th – 18th/10am -5pm daily. The workshop takes an in-depth pedagogy of jazz dance with industry professionals – exploring an authentic way to teach the roots of jazz dance. Uprooted Jazz Dance Intensive – London
We are super excited to be producing our 2nd LONDON UPROOTED Jazz Dance Intensive next week. May 28th – 31st at Jacksons Lane Studio in Highgate. We have an incredible group of teaching artists from the UK, Germany and the USA. 4 full days of dancing, learning and exploring all the roots and branches of jazz dance. From the screen and into the studio, the jazz intensive is truly like no other.

MC KID – New feature Documentary
We are so excited to be working with Blu Remedi Media on a new feature documentary called ‘MC KID’ (working title) A film about the incredible 2016 Tony Award winner for excellence in education – Marilyn McCormick. An inner city Detroit public high school drama teacher who, against all odds, created a direct pipeline from Detroit to Broadway, Hollywood and beyond.

Team Uprooted at The Jacksonville Dance Festival
For the first time in over 2 years the creative team of our feature documentary ‘Uprooted – The Journey of Jazz Dance’ were able to be together IN-PERSON for a screening! The Jacksonville Dance Theatre invited us to be a part of their dance festival. Our co-creator/choreographer, Zak Nemorin taught the students and then the film played on a big screen.
